Adopt-a-Camp in collaboration with “the jam jar” has organised an unique charity affair where art, artists and a giving heart all come together.
27 July – 28 July 2013
Join in expressing your gratitude by creating labels of love on care packages at the July charity event at World Trade Center.
Adopt-a-Camp (AAC) is an initiative to meaningfully improve the lives of the men who build the beautiful cities we live in and through them, to reach out and aid the diverse communities from which they come. Adopt-a-Camp organizes ‘Care Packages for Labourers’ in partnership with Dubai Chamber of Commerce, which is being held at Dubai World Trade Centre on 27th and 28th July 2013. During the two-day event, individuals are welcome to volunteer their time to assemble approximately 300 tonnes of supplies to create 5050 odd Care Packages that will be distributed to the men at the labour camps in Sonapur. In addition, Adopt-a-Camp focuses on the continued support throughout the year of the men through various other programmes and projects.
“the jam jar” is working in collaboration with the Care Package initiative to provide art stations for participants to create a colourful and meaningful message
on A4 labels for each box. This initiative was developed to raise funds for the Adopt-a-Camp scholarship programme that supports various learning and recreational projects. Each participant can purchase a label for AED 5 and proceedings will be donated to the fund.
Spread the word and bring people from your community to collectively do something small towards something meaningful.
