Dubai International Jewellery Week 2015, Dazzles

Shoppers made a beeline for timeless designs set with diamonds, emeralds, rubies and sapphires during the ultimate jewellery shopping experience in Dubai and for a chance to nab an array of dazzling deals at every price point at Dubai International Jewellery .The 20th Dubai International Jewellery week (9th to 12th December), 2015, was launched in Dubai, World Trade Center, as a consumer focused show , with infinite options, irresistible deals and exciting promotions making it one of the ultimate shoppers paradice. Middle East’s most distinguished jewellery event spanning for  four-days returned  to Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). Featuring collections from over 250 companies from 25 countries, the event provided an excellent opportunity to shoppers to pick out their buys from amongst the latest jewellery collections from around the world.

Top celebrity beauty expert and world renowned fashion and health insiders revealed their secrets to the eager visitors. 

Some of the experts who shared their beauty, health and fashion tips at dedicated workshops during the event were:

  1. Make-up artist and TV personality, Joelle MardinianThe Beirut-born beauty expert, who has a string of beauty salons across the region and who’s clientele includes A-list celebrities from around the world, was on hand to answer questions and offer her beauty advice during the show.

Figures from Dubai Multi Commodity Centre’s (DMCC) inaugural Middle East Gems and Jewellery Forum peg the gold jewellery consumption in the UAE at an estimated USD2.5 billion, which makes it the number one jewellery consuming nation in the Middle East. According to statistics from the World Gold Council, the UAE is the fifth biggest consumer of gold jewellery. Moreover, the Middle East Gems and Jewellery Forum cites Dubai as one of the world’s top three trading hubs for gold, diamonds and gemstones.

With over 80 different product categories to choose from Dubai International Jewellery Week was an event to attend for brides-to-be, connoisseurs of jewellery and collectors of unique jewels, objects d’art, bespoke pieces or trendy fashion jewellery. More than 20,000 visitors  attended the event throughout the four days of the show.

The 20th edition of the show included a number of new features such as an all-new Designer Avenue showcasing new and upcoming jewellery designers from the region, as well as interactive styling workshops with fashion experts, and a Beauty Hub with Joelle Group offering mini beauty services for women. On 10 December, a special treat greeted visitors – Joelle Mardinian met and greeted her fans She  also shared a sneak-peak at upcoming make-up and fashion trends.

In addition, the highly anticipated Jewellery Design Awards, now in its seventh year of recognising excellence in design, creativity and innovation, provided an opportunity to connect up-and-coming designers with consumers.

Top exhibiting brands and companies at Dubai International Jewellery Week included Amwaj, Dhamani Jewels, Hazoorilal Legacy, Mahallati Jewellery,  Nsouli, Salem Al Shueibi, Suzanne Kalan, Temptations, Yessayan and Zela to name a few, from as far afield as Hong Kong,  India, Lebanon, Turkey, UAE and USA.
