With his Shakespeare Ensemble, he has collaborated with Shakespeare’s Globe, the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, and the folk artists Sam Amidon, and the Askew Sistsers.
He restaged Globe staged-reading of Macbeth in OP in a London loft, and mounted a production of Pericles in OP at Daniel Harding’s Interplay Festival at the Berwaldhallen in Stockholm, underscored by Max Richter’s Four Seasons: Recomposed, played live by the Trondheim Soloists with violinist Daniel Hope.
In July 2015, following on from 2014’s series of OP events at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse at Shakespeare’s Globe, the Shakespeare Ensemble will give a cue-script rehearsed, candle-lit staged reading of Henry V in original pronunciation, before taking the production on tour.
His Ensemble will next stage Twelfth Night over Twelfth Night 2016 in London, before restating their OP Pericles in New York.

Passion in Practice was founded in 2010 by Ben Crystal.
They spread ideas about how to play Shakespeare as simply as possible, without any great conceptual frame placed between participants and the play, and seek to bring honesty and great passion to equal the work.
The company is writer led, allowing the text to guide their performances. Using the versions closest to Shakespeare and respecting the verse, and physical disciplines Ben learnt from Theatre Complicité, they look for new paths up to the scope and scale of Shakespeare’s words.
