Buzzingtales was invited to a media preview of the Sababa Open Sky Lounge at Fairmont The Palm. The stunning lounge of Fairmont was an apt setting for what was to come. Sababa Open Sky Lounge was decked up for the Iftar and lively Arabic music filled the air. Shisha’s of myriad flavors were served in the Open sky lounge. The lavish and comfortable space inside was for family or people who preferred cozy cool indoors.
While the main Iftar spread was being set, guests were welcome to help themselves to delicious authentic snacks and sweets made fresh and served in the live counters. We personally fell head over heals for the Arabic ice cream as well the Kebabs. The freshly made Luqaimat – fried dumpling coated with sugar syrup- a popular Ramadan dish was a delight for all sweet lovers. Traditional Arabic drummers and musician walked in to infuse an uplifting vibrancy as the guests indulged in experiencing the exquisite food and ambiance by the sunset.
Tanoura dancers took our breath away and we were reminded of the rich flavors Arabic culture. The grand Sababa Open Sky Lounge is certainly a memorable Iftar experience complete with opulent Levant tradition, culture and flavors.
