In line with the ongoing commitment of engaging with the community through meaningful and sustainable initiatives Majid Al Futtaim, the leading shopping mall, retail and leisure pioneer in Middle East & North Africa, is all set to launch its regional health awareness platform “Feel the Beat”, at Majid Al Futtaim malls in partnership with UAE’s ministry of health and City Center Clinic.
‘Feel the Beat’ – the month-long initiative throughout September, will encourage wellness and exercise through the pumping beats of participants’ own hearts, turning it into music, and will offer visitors access to preventative testing and professional healthcare advice to prevent cardiovascular diseases. Merging entertainment and wellness by using technology that creates music based on your heartbeat.
For a second year, Majid Al Futtaim has partnered with the UAE Ministry of Health and City Centre Clinic with a common goal to spread awareness to prevent or reduce the alarming number of cardiovascular diseases in the UAE, with a special focus on women.
A panel of experts and representatives from UAE Ministry of Health, City Centre Clinic and Majid Al Futtaim will shed light upon the current state of these health risks and share invaluable insights.
Last year with the objective to empower women to take control of their heart health through early detection and preventative measures, ‘Feel the Beat’ Majid Al Futtaim’s wider programme of health and sustainability initiatives took place throughout the year ensuring health, happiness and creating great moments for everyone, everyday.
Participating malls throughout the campaign in the UAE were: Mall of the Emirates; City Centre Mirdif; City Centre Deira; City Centre Ajman; City Centre Fujairah; My City Centre, Nasseriya and City Centre Sharjah. Shoppers can also participate in screening locations at City Centre Bahrain; City Centre Muscat and City Centre Qurum in Oman, City Centre Alexandria and City Centre Maadi in Egypt, and City Centre Beirut in Lebanon. ere
