The Sky Is the Limit!
The Excitement Builds as Over Half a Million LEGO® Bricks Take Shape at Le Méridien Family Kids Club
Le Méridien Family Kids Club, located at Le Méridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina, are calling all pint-sized heroes to join them in building a city! In conjunction with The LEGO® Group, a giant LEGO model will be constructed on the lawns of Le Méridien Mina Seyahi, reproducing the iconic skyline between the 18th – 27th of October, 2016.
The LEGO® activation celebrates the overarching theme for Le Méridien Family Program, the “Universal Language of Play”, for which playing knows no borders or language barriers but is a vehicle to explore, learn, develop new skills, express ideas and build relationships with others.
Providing children up to 12 years old with a safe, fun and educational environment to play and learn, Le Méridien Family Kids Club is committed to fostering creativity and active minds in their youngest guests. The club encourages imaginations to run wild with inspired activities and specialized events, such as the first ever Dubai LEGO Megabuild this October.
Utilizing approximately half a million LEGO® bricks on the grounds of Le Méridien Mina Seyahi, the LEGO Megabuild is available for all master builders to put their imaginations – and construction skills – to work in creating a LEGO replica of the city of Dubai. With guidance from knowledgeable LEGO representatives on-hand, kids are encouraged to re-create the skyline brick by brick, from the ocean to the skyscrapers, and watch their city take shape around the Mina Seyahi complex. The activation will run between 9am and 5pm daily between Tuesday 18th October and Thursday 27th October.
Since discovery and creativity are not concepts limited to kids of a certain age, the LEGO Megabuild site will also have a LEGO® DUPLO® display set up for younger children. Suitable and safe for guests aged between 1.5 and 4 years old, the LEGO DUPLO area will be a separate site for adventurous toddlers.
Launched in December 2015, Le Méridien Family Program seeks to unlock the destination, curating the unique family-friendly offerings each location has to offer.
Complimentary access to the LEGO Megabuild site will be available to members of the public, Club Mina members and Hotel guests. For safety reasons number of participants will be limited to ensure all are able to enjoy and participate safely. Children entering the LEGO Megabuild site are required to register and be accompanied by a supervising adult, while access to Le Méridien Family Kids Club’s
additional facilities are exclusively available to Club Mina members and Hotel guests. To find out more, please visit: http://www.clubminadubai.com/en/kids-club

About Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts
Le Méridien, the Paris-born hotel brand currently represented by nearly 100 properties in more than 35 countries, was acquired by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: HOT) in November 2005. With more than 75 of its properties located in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific, Le Méridien provided a strong international complement to Starwood’s then primarily North American holdings at the time of purchase. Since then, Le Méridien has gone through a brand re-launch, which included a large-scale hotels product consolidation and redefined brand strategy. Through partnerships with some of the world’s most creative minds, Le Méridien has transformed numerous guest touch points, thus bringing unique, interactive and curated experiences to its guests. Plans call for dynamic expansion of Le Méridien Hotels and Resorts within the next five years, concentrating on markets in Asia-Pacific and the Americas. Le Méridien recently opened new hotels in Columbus (Ohio, USA), Charlotte (North Carolina, USA), Indianapolis (Indiana, USA), New Orleans, Chicago, Tampa (Florida, USA), Cairo, Bahrain, Bali, Atlanta, Oran (Algeria), and Zhengzhou (China), and will open in the next 12 months in Bangkok, Gurgaon (India), Mahabaleshwar (India), Thimphu (Bhutan), Paro (Bhutan), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), Qingdao (China), Leshan (China), and Putrajaya (Malaysia).
