We are what we eat. Yes, this saying has more truth in it than we realize. By simply eating healthy we contribute to 80% to our well-being. Exercise is important but as far as a healthy weight goes it contributes about 20-25% (though very important) percentage. Everything that we eat reflects in our body and mind. At a sub-conscious level we are all aware of this truth. However, given our hectic schedules, constant temptations, competitive life, and a urge to do just about everything, eating healthy gets brushed under the carpet. We try to stuff in AT LEAST SOMETHING into our kids before they are packed off to school. Invariable that something becomes some breakfast cereals which is highly processed, saturated with sugar and deprived of minerals and vitamins. We are worse when it comes to our own bodies. Cooking becomes an ordeal that has to be endured occasionally. Our kitchens stay clean and our shelves and fridge stocked up with ready made or handy stuff. Nothing can ever match the goodness of healthy home cooked food. Cooking becomes fun when we plan a bit ahead (if we are not naturals) and throw in dashes of creativeness. Sunita Kewal shows us just how to pump up our day with a power packed healthy and delicious snack
