Buzzingtales brings great news that Black Tap, the cult Burger House from New York is now in Dubai. It is difficult not to be swept off your feet once you are in the hip & happening hustle and bustle of Black Tap in the in the upmarket Jumeirah Beach Residency Area in Dubai. We were sure glad to finally make it to the much talked about newly opened, the trendy New York-based burger joint known for its signature craft burgers and famous Instagrammable milkshakes. The gorgeous & offbeat graffiti decors and witty quotes on the wall already had us smiling.
We were now set to dig into Black Tap action and feed our souls with a hearty combination of award-winning burgers, decadent milkshakes and a completely new-to-the-UAE line-up of creative mocktails, In the words of Joe Isidori, the culinary mastermind behind Black Tap.
@blacktapdubai (Black Tap, ) made our Friday Dinner experience with Family one of the most memorable & exciting. Black Tap’s Dubai menus, including the award-winning Greg Norman Burger with Wagyu beef and blue cheese, the classic All-American Burger and the all-natural Californian with turkey, avocado, Swiss cheese, and truffle mayo.
There are options for Vegetarians too, such as the regionally inspired Falafel Burger and popular vegan Burger, crafted from a black bean patty, pickled onions, salsa verde, cilantro, and vegan mayo.
The menu also includes Black Tap’s gloriously sculpted CrazyShake™ milkshakes such as the cookies ‘n Cream Supreme, Cotton Candy, and the Instagram-favorite Cake Shake. Black Tap’s Abu Dhabi restaurant will also feature a dedicated new menu of mocktails for those looking for something refreshing.
“Black Tap takes the classic American luncheonette, and puts our spin on it, with high-quality ingredients, 90s hip-hop pumping through the speakers, and a one-of-a-kind atmosphere,” says Black Tap owner and Michelin-starred chef Joe Isidori.
“The response in the Middle East has been extraordinary, and we’re thrilled to bring the Black Tap experience to Abu Dhabi at Yas Mall” says Chris Barish, Black Tap owner, restaurateur and the man behind Black Tap’s expansion in the Middle East.
Instagrammable Favorite Shakes
Some of the kids favorite were Black Tap’s gloriously sculpted CrazyShake™ milkshakes Cookies ‘n Cream Supreme (Oreo shake with a vanilla-frosted rim with crushed Oreos topped with a ‘cookies ‘n cream’ sandwich, crumbled Oreo, whipped cream & chocolate drizzle), Cotton Candy (Strawberry shake with a vanilla frosted rim with blue, pink and pearl chocolates, garnished with a pink lollipop, rock candy, whipped cream and cotton
candy) and, of course, the Instagram-favorite Cake Shake (Cake Batter shake with a vanilla frosted rim with rainbow sprinkles topped with funfetti cake slice, whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles, and a cherry). I personally loved the ambiance, music and round the clock dance offs featured in a big screen. I assume during gaming nights it will showcase some adrenaline rushing sporty activities.
The Vibe, Ambience & More
“American authenticity, quality ingredients and a relaxed, fun vibe are the key elements of Black Tap,” adds Antonio Gonzalez, CEO of Sunset Group, which operates Black Tap.
With décor that harkens back to old school hip hop and pop, Black Tap is an homage to the great American luncheonette experience. Owned by Chef Joe Isidori and Restaurateur Chris Barish, the menu features burgers ranging from the classic All-American to The Vegan Burger, along with burger salad options, spicy Korean wings and sides such as Teriyaki Broccoli and Crispy Brussels Sprouts.
