Emirati Entrepreneur Reem Al Zarouni announces Modern Woman Show, a premium lifestyle event for women

Beauty and personal care spending in UAE expected to reach AED 4.77 billion by 2017

Dubai’s premium lifestyle consumer event for women, The Modern Woman Show was announced at a grand press conference at the The Address Hotel, Dubai Mall. The exhibition, which exclusively caters to woman’s lifestyle, fashion, beauty and wellness concerns, will be held at Dubai World Trade Centre, Hall No. 1, from December 17th to 19th. The entry will be free for the event, which will be open to visitors from 11am to 9pm every day.


Unveiling the exhibition, the Emirati entrepreneur and co-organizer of the event, Reem al Zarouni said, “Visitors will have a fantastic and rewarding experience at the event which will be more than just a diverse shopping expedition. Modern Woman Show is an exclusive event and I am proud to be associated with it”.

For those who want more oomph, the exhibition will feature fashion shows that will bring to the ramp the hottest trends from the world of fashion. Visitors will also find, a stylish take on traditional abayas, ready-to-wear designer wear, high-end cosmetics, elegant jewellery and even home accessories”, added Reem.

Fast on its way to be crowned as the fashion capital of the world, Dubai boasts of a multi-billion-dollar fashion industry defined by international high-end brands complementing the traditional Arabic flavor. The emirate houses the largest number of consumers of clothing, makeup, fragrances, hair-care and other wellness products in the Middle East and was last year ranked the 2nd-most important destination for international retailers after London. Considering all this, we feel an exhibition like this is the need of the hour, this will be an annual event and like all our other events we plan to re-invent and amuse with each edition”, said Sajid Ali, Director at Sumansa Exhibitions, organizers of Modern Woman Show.

The exhibition will be a one-stop-shopping experience with a diverse range of products on display. Besides an entertaining shopping experience, the Modern Woman Show will be hosting a number of seminars conducted by powerful women of the Arab world who have proved their mettle in the field of their choice. Speakers at the seminars include the famous Raha Moharrak, the first Saudi woman to conquer Mount Everest who will speak of her conquest and the need to follow one’s dreams despite various obstacles. Visitors will also have the opportunity to listen to Emirati architect Malak Ali Hassan who recently won an award by Forbes as one of the Business Leaders inspiring the UAE. She was also featured in Forbes 200 Most Powerful Arab Women, among her many other achievements.
