“What you think, you become.
What you feel, you attract.
What you imagine, you create.”― Buddha
I created celebration on a gloomy day when I was feeling down and broken. As an artist or even a writer it is perhaps easier to fall prey to all sorts of human emotions. If one doesn’t feel, how else is one supposed to express what emanates from those emotions? More ever, isn’t that most predictable way to feel as the Pandemic continues to ride high? However, I believe or rather I would like to believe in the power of manifestation. If you imagine something and commit your whole heart and mind to that imagination then you can really make it manifest. The yogis and sages have time and again reaffirmed that there is nothing more powerful then the mind. Gandhi captured the essence of it when he said, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” Though it is easy to believe something, often it is difficult to practice the same in true essence. Yet, the process has to germinate and then each day nurtured and cared for till in becomes a huge tree with roots deeply entrenched in those affirmations. The tree itself a living proof of the what belief and affirmations can create.
So I set out to create a world that was in stark contrast to the way I felt. I started out with doodling a vibrant forest with lush foliage and colourful blooms. The free spirited eagle representing defiance, resilience and victory in the face of the greatest adversities had to adorn the top of my world. A frail yet joyful creature – the butterfly – representing innocence and purity even in chaos and mayhem was set at the foundation. I splashed the piece with a flourish of colours depicting the celebratory abandonment that inundate us during festivals like Holi. I most prominent colors I used in creating this forest of delight were, blue, red and yellow. Celebration was born!
I loved how vibrant the decorations, yoga mat, phone cover and curtains looked when paired with celebrations. Won’t it light yours heart as you took your phone and witnessed a forest with splash of color? While feeling tired after a day’s work and craving for a hot bath, you enter the bathroom and slowly your face lights up with a smile when you witness the riot of blue, yellow and red. More than anything celebration acquires it true grandeur adorning the wall. Celebration is available in all its flavour on my website on FINE ARTS AMERICA. Go Check It Out!
